The 2006 Belfort Lecture was given by Dr. Ann-Charlotte Eliasson Wednesday, May 10th at the WCCR Belfort Lecture and Technical Conference held at Purdue University . The title of her presentation was "Starch Lipid interactions: Functional and Nutritional Implications".

Dr. Ann Charlotte Eliasson has been with the University of Lund since 1983, and is currently a Professor in Cereal Technology. Dr. Eliasson has been Head of the Department of Food Technology, Engineering and Nutrition since 2003. Dr. Eliasson received a Ph.D. in Food Technology from the University of Lund in 1983. She is the 1998 recipient of the "G.W. Scott-Blair Memorial Award", Rheology Division, American Association of Cereal Chemists, and an original member of the Highly Cited Researchers database. She is author of over 120 research papers, 15 reviews and book chapters, 50 conference contributions, and 40 contributions in popular science.
